Sometimes, the most important thing we can say to a patient is “No.”

At Cosmedic Express, we welcome UK patients to Tirana, Albania, for plastic surgery every day. They arrive with hopes, expectations and trust—and we take that responsibility seriously.

Sometimes, a patient asks for a facelift, tummy tuck and breast enhancement during the same visit.

Our answer is clear: “No, we won’t do that.”

That surprises some people, particularly when another clinic has offered to do everything in one trip. We understand the appeal: fewer flights, one visit and the promise of a complete transformation.

But convenience must never come before clinical judgement.

Combining major procedures can mean a longer operation, more time under anesthesia and a greater recovery burden. Longer surgery and certain combinations can increase the risk of serious complications, including blood clots. Some procedures can be combined appropriately, but that does not mean every combination is suitable for every patient.

We at Cosmedic Express are willing to lose a booking rather than agree to a surgical plan we believe exposes someone to unacceptable risk.

Every operation carries risk. Our responsibility is to take those risks seriously—not let the value of a booking determine what we agree to do.

• Is this combination appropriate for my health and medical history?

• How long are the surgery and anaesthesia expected to last?

• Would separate operations be more appropriate?
